Yei Theodora Ozaki (1870–1932)

Yei Theodora Ozaki was a Japanese writer and translator of Japanese-British parentage who introduced Japanese folktales to many English-language readers. Born in London, she retold traditional stories in accessible prose. The Japanese Fairy Book (1903) remains her best-known collection and a lasting contribution to children's folklore.
